โมรเดคัยได้รับตำแหน่งรองกษัตริย์
10:1 และกษัตริย์อาหสุเอรัสมีรับสั่งให้เก็บบรรณาการทั่วราชอาณาจักร และตามเกาะต่าง ๆ แห่งทะเล

Mordecai Becomes Prime Minister
10:1 And the king Ahasuerus laid a tribute upon the land, and upon the isles of the sea.

10:2 และบรรดาพระราชกิจแห่งพระราชอำนาจของพระองค์และอานุภาพของพระองค์ และเรื่องราวละเอียดแห่งยศศักดิ์อันสูงของโมรเดคัย ซึ่งกษัตริย์ทรงเลื่อนท่านขึ้น สิ่งเหล่านั้นถูกบันทึกไว้ในหนังสือพงศาวดารของบรรดากษัตริย์แห่งประเทศมีเดียและเปอร์เซียมิใช่หรือ

10:2 And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the greatness of Mordecai, whereunto the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?

10:3 เพราะโมรเดคัยคนยิวมีตำแหน่งรองกษัตริย์อาหสุเอรัส และเป็นใหญ่ท่ามกลางพวกยิว และเป็นที่ชอบของมวลญาติพี่น้องของท่าน ได้แสวงหาความมั่งคั่งให้ชนชาติของท่าน และพูดให้เกิดสันติสุขแก่เชื้อสายทั้งปวงของท่าน

10:3 For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
