24:1 พระเยโฮวาห์ได้ทรงสำแดงแก่ข้าพเจ้า และดูเถิด มีกระจาดสองลูกใส่มะเดื่อทั้งหลาย วางไว้หน้าพระวิหารของพระเยโฮวาห์ หลังจากที่เนบูคัดเนสซาร์กษัตริย์แห่งบาบิโลนได้นำเยโคนิยาห์ ราชบุตรของเยโฮยาคิม กษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์ ไปเป็นเชลย และบรรดาประมุขแห่งยูดาห์ พร้อมกับพวกช่างไม้และพวกช่างเหล็ก จากกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม และได้นำพวกเขามายังกรุงบาบิโลนแล้ว

Two Baskets of Figs
24:1 The LORD shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.

24:2 กระจาดลูกหนึ่งมีมะเดื่อทั้งหลายอย่างดีนัก เหมือนอย่างมะเดื่อทั้งหลายที่สุกต้นฤดู และกระจาดอีกลูกหนึ่งนั้นมีมะเดื่อทั้งหลายอย่างเลวทีเดียว ซึ่งไม่สามารถรับประทานได้ พวกมันเลวยิ่งนัก

24:2 One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.

24:3 แล้วพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสแก่ข้าพเจ้าว่า “เจ้าเห็นอะไร เยเรมีย์เอ๋ย” และข้าพเจ้าทูลว่า “มะเดื่อทั้งหลาย มะเดื่อทั้งหลายอย่างดี ก็ดีมาก และที่เลว ก็เลวมาก ที่ไม่สามารถรับประทานได้ พวกมันเลวยิ่งนัก”

24:3 Then said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.

24:4 พระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์มายังข้าพเจ้าอีก โดยตรัสว่า

24:4 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

24:5 “พระเยโฮวาห์ พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอล ตรัสดังนี้ว่า เหมือนอย่างมะเดื่อทั้งหลายที่ดีเหล่านี้ เราจะยอมรับคนเหล่านั้นที่ถูกกวาดไปเป็นเชลยจากยูดาห์ ผู้ซึ่งเราได้ส่งออกจากสถานที่นี้ไปยังแผ่นดินของชนเคลเดียเพื่อประโยชน์สุขของพวกเขา

24:5 Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.

24:6 เพราะเราจะตั้งตาของเราดูพวกเขาเพื่อจะกระทำความดี และเราจะพาพวกเขากลับมายังแผ่นดินนี้อีก และเราจะสร้างพวกเขาขึ้น และจะไม่รื้อพวกเขาลง และเราจะปลูกพวกเขาไว้ และไม่ถอนพวกเขาเสีย

24:6 For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.

24:7 และเราจะให้ใจดวงหนึ่งแก่พวกเขาที่จะรู้จักเราว่า เราเป็นพระเยโฮวาห์ และพวกเขาจะเป็นประชากรของเรา และเราจะเป็นพระเจ้าของพวกเขา เพราะพวกเขาจะกลับมาหาเราด้วยสิ้นสุดใจของพวกเขา

24:7 And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

24:8 และสำหรับมะเดื่อทั้งหลายที่เลว ซึ่งไม่สามารถรับประทานได้ พวกมันเลวยิ่งนัก” พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้อย่างแน่นอนว่า “เราจะมอบเศเดคียาห์กษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์ และบรรดาประมุขของเขา และชาวกรุงเยรูซาเล็มที่เหลืออยู่ ที่ยังค้างอยู่ในแผ่นดินนี้ และคนทั้งหลายที่ยังอาศัยอยู่ในแผ่นดินอียิปต์

24:8 And as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:

24:9 และเราจะมอบพวกเขาไว้ให้ถูกโยกย้ายไปยังอาณาจักรทั้งสิ้นแห่งแผ่นดินโลกเพื่อทำให้พวกเขาเจ็บปวด เพื่อให้เป็นคำด่าว่า และเป็นคำภาษิต เป็นคำเยาะเย้ย และเป็นคำสาปแช่ง ในสถานที่ทุกแห่งซึ่งเราจะขับไล่พวกเขาให้ไปอยู่นั้น

24:9 And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them.

24:10 และเราจะส่งดาบ การกันดารอาหาร และโรคระบาดมาในท่ามกลางพวกเขา จนพวกเขาจะถูกล้างผลาญเสียจากแผ่นดินที่เราได้ให้แก่พวกเขาและแก่บรรพบุรุษของพวกเขา”

24:10 And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers.
