คนล่วงประเวณีต้องถูกตัดสินโดยคริสตจักร
5:1 มีรายงานโดยทั่วไปว่ามีการล่วงประเวณีในท่ามกลางพวกท่าน และการล่วงประเวณีเช่นนั้นก็ไม่กล่าวถึงแม้แต่ในท่ามกลางพวกคนต่างชาติ ที่คนหนึ่งจะได้ภรรยาบิดาของตน

Fornicators Are to Be Removed from Fellowship
5:1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

5:2 และพวกท่านก็ผยองขึ้น และไม่ได้โศกเศร้าแทน เพื่อคนที่ได้กระทำกิจการนี้จะถูกเอาไปเสียจากท่ามกลางพวกท่าน

5:2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

5:3 ด้วยว่าแท้จริงแล้วข้าพเจ้า ซึ่งไม่อยู่ด้วยในกาย แต่อยู่ด้วยในจิตวิญญาณ ได้ตัดสินแล้ว ราวกับว่าข้าพเจ้าได้อยู่ด้วย เกี่ยวกับคนนั้นที่ได้กระทำกิจการนี้

5:3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,

5:4 ในพระนามของพระเยซูคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของพวกเรา เมื่อพวกท่านชุมนุมกัน และจิตวิญญาณของข้าพเจ้า พร้อมด้วยฤทธิ์เดชของพระเยซูคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของพวกเรา

5:4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

5:5 เพื่อจะมอบคนเช่นนั้นไว้ให้ซาตานเพื่อการทำลายของเนื้อหนังเสีย เพื่อจิตวิญญาณจะได้รอดในวันของพระเยซูเจ้า

5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

บาปที่ไม่ได้รับการเตือนสติ ก็แพร่ขยายไปเหมือนเชื้อ
5:6 การโอ้อวดของพวกท่านไม่ดี พวกท่านไม่ทราบหรือว่าเชื้อนิดเดียวย่อมทำให้แป้งดิบฟูขึ้นทั้งก้อน

Unrebuked Sin Spreads Like Leaven
5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

5:7 เหตุฉะนั้น จงชำระเชื้อเก่าเสีย เพื่อพวกท่านจะได้เป็นก้อนใหม่ เหมือนพวกท่านไร้เชื้อ เพราะว่าแม้แต่พระคริสต์ผู้ทรงเป็นปัสกาของพวกเรา ทรงถูกถวายเป็นเครื่องบูชาเพื่อพวกเราแล้ว

5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

5:8 เหตุฉะนั้นจงให้พวกเราถือเทศกาลเลี้ยงนั้น มิใช่ด้วยเชื้อเก่า หรือด้วยเชื้อแห่งการคิดปองร้ายและความชั่วช้า แต่ด้วยขนมปังไร้เชื้อแห่งความจริงใจและความจริง

5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

5:9 ข้าพเจ้าได้เขียนถึงพวกท่านในจดหมายฉบับหนึ่งว่า อย่าคบกับบรรดาคนล่วงประเวณี

5:9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:

5:10 แต่ไม่ได้หมายรวมถึงกับบรรดาคนล่วงประเวณีแห่งโลกนี้ หรือกับพวกคนโลภ หรือคนฉ้อโกงทั้งหลาย หรือพวกคนไหว้รูปเคารพ เพราะถ้าเป็นอย่างนั้นพวกท่านจะต้องออกไปเสียจากโลกนี้

5:10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.

เราควรแยกตัวจากพี่น้องคริสเตียนที่กำลังดำรงชีวิตอยู่ในบาป
5:11 แต่บัดนี้ข้าพเจ้าได้เขียนถึงพวกท่านว่าอย่าคบหาสมาคม ถ้าผู้ใดที่ถูกเรียกว่าเป็นพี่น้องแล้ว เป็นคนล่วงประเวณี หรือคนโลภ หรือคนไหว้รูปเคารพ หรือคนปากร้าย หรือคนขี้เมา หรือคนฉ้อโกง กับคนเช่นนี้ไม่กินด้วยกันเลย

Christians Should Not Fellowship with Any Living in Gross Sin
5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

5:12 ด้วยว่าข้าพเจ้ามีหน้าที่อะไรที่จะตัดสินคนทั้งหลายที่อยู่ภายนอกเช่นกันเล่า พวกท่านตัดสินคนเหล่านั้นที่อยู่ภายในมิใช่หรือ

5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

5:13 แต่คนทั้งหลายที่อยู่ภายนอกนั้นพระเจ้าทรงพิพากษา เหตุฉะนั้นจงกำจัดคนชั่วร้ายนั้นออกเสียจากท่ามกลางพวกท่านเถิด

5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
