คำตักเตือนให้สรรเสริญพระเจ้า
135:1 จงสรรเสริญพระเยโฮวาห์เถิด จงสรรเสริญพระนามของพระเยโฮวาห์ โอ บรรดาผู้รับใช้ของพระเยโฮวาห์เอ๋ย จงสรรเสริญพระองค์

An Exhortation to Bless God
135:1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the LORD.

135:2 ท่านที่ยืนอยู่ในพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์ ที่ในบริเวณพระนิเวศของพระเจ้าของเรา

135:2 Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,

135:3 จงสรรเสริญพระเยโฮวาห์ เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ประเสริฐ จงร้องเพลงสรรเสริญพระนามของพระองค์ เพราะการกระทำนั้นเพลิดเพลิน

135:3 Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

135:4 เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงเลือกยาโคบไว้สำหรับพระองค์เอง เลือกอิสราเอลไว้เป็นกรรมสิทธิ์ของพระองค์

135:4 For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

135:5 เพราะข้าพเจ้าทราบว่าพระเยโฮวาห์ใหญ่ยิ่ง และองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเราใหญ่ยิ่งกว่าพระอื่นทั้งสิ้น

135:5 For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

135:6 พระเยโฮวาห์พอพระทัยสิ่งใด พระองค์ก็ทรงกระทำในฟ้าสวรรค์และบนแผ่นดินโลก ในทะเลและที่น้ำลึกทั้งสิ้น

135:6 Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.

135:7 พระองค์ทรงกระทำให้เมฆลอยขึ้นมาจากที่สุดปลายแผ่นดินโลก พระองค์ทรงกระทำฟ้าแลบให้แก่ฝนและทรงนำลมออกมาจากคลังของพระองค์

135:7 He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.

135:8 พระองค์คือผู้ทรงสังหารลูกหัวปีของอียิปต์ ทั้งของคนและของสัตว์

135:8 Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.

135:9 โอ อียิปต์เอ๋ย ผู้ทรงให้หมายสำคัญและการมหัศจรรย์ท่ามกลางเจ้า ให้ต่อสู้กับฟาโรห์และบรรดาข้าราชการของท่าน

135:9 Who sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.

135:10 พระองค์คือผู้ทรงตีประชาชาติใหญ่โต และทรงสังหารกษัตริย์ผู้ทรงฤทธิ์

135:10 Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;

135:11 คือสิโหนกษัตริย์ของคนอาโมไรต์ และโอกกษัตริย์ของเมืองบาชาน และบรรดาราชอาณาจักรแห่งคานาอัน

135:11 Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:

135:12 และประทานแผ่นดินของเขาทั้งหลายให้เป็นมรดก เป็นมรดกแก่อิสราเอลประชาชนของพระองค์

135:12 And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.

135:13 โอ ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ พระนามของพระองค์ดำรงเป็นนิตย์ โอ ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ความระลึกถึงพระองค์ดำรงอยู่ทุกชั่วอายุ

135:13 Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.

135:14 เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงแก้แทนประชาชนของพระองค์ และทรงกลับพระทัยในเรื่องบรรดาผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์

135:14 For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.

บรรดารูปเคารพไร้สาระ
135:15 รูปเคารพของบรรดาประชาชาติเป็นเงินและทองคำ เป็นหัตถกรรมของมนุษย์

Vanity of Idols
135:15 The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

135:16 รูปเหล่านั้นมีปาก แต่พูดไม่ได้ มีตา แต่ดูไม่ได้

135:16 They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;

135:17 มีหู แต่ฟังไม่ได้ยิน ทั้งไม่มีลมหายใจในปากของรูปนั้น

135:17 They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.

135:18 ผู้ที่ทำรูปนั้นเหมือนรูปเหล่านั้น เออ บรรดาผู้ที่วางใจในรูปนั้นก็เช่นกัน

135:18 They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.

135:19 โอ วงศ์วานอิสราเอลเอ๋ย จงถวายสาธุการแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ โอ วงศ์วานอาโรนเอ๋ย จงถวายสาธุการแด่พระเยโฮวาห์

135:19 Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:

135:20 โอ วงศ์วานเลวีเอ๋ย จงถวายสาธุการแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ ท่านที่ยำเกรงพระเยโฮวาห์ จงถวายสาธุการแด่พระเยโฮวาห์

135:20 Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.

135:21 สาธุการแด่พระเยโฮวาห์จากศิโยน พระองค์ผู้ทรงพำนักอยู่ในเยรูซาเล็ม จงสรรเสริญพระเยโฮวาห์เถิด

135:21 Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
