คนอัมพาตได้รับความรอดแล้วได้รับการรักษาจนหาย (มธ 9:1-8; ลก 5:18-26)
2:1 ครั้นล่วงไปหลายวัน พระองค์ได้เสด็จไปในเมืองคาเปอรนาอุมอีก และคนทั้งหลายได้ยินว่า พระองค์ประทับที่บ้าน

Paralyzed Man Saved and Healed (Matt. 9:1-8; Luke 5:18-26)
2:1 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.

2:2 และในเวลานั้นคนเป็นอันมากมาชุมนุมกันจนไม่มีที่จะรับ จะเข้าใกล้ประตูก็ไม่ได้ พระองค์จึงเทศนาพระวจนะนั้นให้เขาฟัง

2:2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.

2:3 แล้วมีคนนำคนอัมพาตคนหนึ่งมาหาพระองค์ มีสี่คนหาม

2:3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

2:4 เมื่อเขาเข้าไปให้ถึงพระองค์ไม่ได้เพราะคนมาก เขาจึงรื้อดาดฟ้าหลังคาตรงที่พระองค์ประทับนั้น และเมื่อรื้อเป็นช่องแล้ว เขาก็หย่อนแคร่ที่คนอัมพาตนอนอยู่ลงมา

2:4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

2:5 เมื่อพระเยซูทอดพระเนตรเห็นความเชื่อของเขาทั้งหลาย พระองค์จึงตรัสกับคนอัมพาตว่า “ลูกเอ๋ย บาปของเจ้าได้รับการอภัยแล้ว”

2:5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

2:6 แต่มีพวกธรรมาจารย์บางคนนั่งอยู่ที่นั่น และเขาคิดในใจว่า

2:6 But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,

2:7 “ทำไมคนนี้พูดหมิ่นประมาทเช่นนั้น ใครจะยกความผิดบาปได้เว้นแต่พระเจ้าเท่านั้น”

2:7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

2:8 และในทันใดนั้นเมื่อพระเยซูทรงทราบในพระทัยว่าเขาคิดในใจอย่างนั้น พระองค์จึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า “เหตุไฉนท่านทั้งหลายจึงคิดในใจอย่างนี้เล่า

2:8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

2:9 ที่จะว่ากับคนอัมพาตว่า ‘บาปของเจ้าได้รับการอภัยแล้ว’ หรือจะว่า ‘จงลุกขึ้นยกแคร่เดินไปเถิด’ นั้น ข้างไหนจะง่ายกว่ากัน

2:9 Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?

2:10 แต่เพื่อท่านทั้งหลายจะได้รู้ว่า บุตรมนุษย์มีสิทธิอำนาจในโลกที่จะโปรดยกความผิดบาปได้” (พระองค์จึงตรัสสั่งคนอัมพาตว่า)

2:10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)

2:11 “เราสั่งเจ้าว่า จงลุกขึ้นยกแคร่ไปบ้านของเจ้าเถิด”

2:11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.

2:12 ทันใดนั้นคนอัมพาตได้ลุกขึ้นแล้วก็ยกแคร่เดินออกไปต่อหน้าคนทั้งปวง คนทั้งปวงก็ประหลาดใจนัก จึงสรรเสริญพระเจ้าว่า “เราไม่เคยเห็นการเช่นนี้เลย”

2:12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

ทรงเรียกเลวี คนเก็บภาษี (มธ 9:9-13; ลก 5:27-32)
2:13 ฝ่ายพระองค์ได้เสด็จไปตามชายทะเลอีก ประชาชนก็มาหาพระองค์ และพระองค์ได้ตรัสสั่งสอนเขา

Levi the Publican Called (Matt. 9:9-13; Luke 5:27-32)
2:13 And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them.

2:14 เมื่อพระองค์กำลังเสด็จไปนั้น พระองค์ก็ทอดพระเนตรเห็นเลวีบุตรชายอัลเฟอัสนั่งอยู่ที่ด่านเก็บภาษี จึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า “จงตามเรามาเถิด” เขาก็ลุกขึ้นตามพระองค์ไป

2:14 And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.

2:15 ต่อมาเมื่อพระเยซูเอนพระกายลงเสวยอยู่ในเรือนของเลวี มีพวกคนเก็บภาษีและคนบาปหลายคนเอนกายลงร่วมสำรับกับพระเยซูและพวกสาวกของพระองค์ เพราะมีคนติดตามพระองค์ไปมาก

2:15 And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.

2:16 ฝ่ายพวกธรรมาจารย์และพวกฟาริสี เมื่อเห็นพระองค์ทรงเสวยพระกระยาหารกับพวกคนเก็บภาษีและคนบาป จึงถามสาวกของพระองค์ว่า “เหตุไฉนพระองค์จึงกินและดื่มร่วมกับพวกคนเก็บภาษีและคนบาปเล่า”

2:16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?

2:17 ครั้นพระเยซูทรงได้ยินดังนั้น พระองค์จึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า “คนปกติไม่ต้องการหมอ แต่คนเจ็บต้องการหมอ เรามิได้มาเพื่อจะเรียกคนชอบธรรม แต่มาเรียกคนบาปให้กลับใจเสียใหม่”

2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

2:18 มีพวกศิษย์ของยอห์นและของพวกฟาริสีกำลังถืออดอาหาร พวกเขาจึงมาทูลถามพระองค์ว่า “เหตุไฉนพวกสาวกของยอห์นและของพวกฟาริสีถืออดอาหาร แต่พวกสาวกของพระองค์ไม่ถือ”

2:18 And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees used to fast: and they come and say unto him, Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not?

2:19 พระเยซูจึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า “ท่านจะให้สหายของเจ้าบ่าวถืออดอาหารเมื่อเจ้าบ่าวยังอยู่กับเขากระนั้นหรือ เจ้าบ่าวอยู่ด้วยนานเท่าใด สหายก็ถืออดอาหารไม่ได้นานเท่านั้น

2:19 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.

2:20 แต่วันนั้นจะมาถึงเมื่อเจ้าบ่าวจะต้องจากสหายไป ในวันนั้นสหายจะถืออดอาหาร

2:20 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.

คำอุปมาเกี่ยวกับผ้าและถุงหนัง (มธ 9:16-17; ลก 5:36-39)
2:21 ไม่มีผู้ใดเอาท่อนผ้าทอใหม่มาปะเสื้อเก่า ถ้าทำอย่างนั้น ท่อนผ้าทอใหม่ที่ปะเข้านั้นเมื่อหดจะทำให้เสื้อเก่าขาดกว้างออกไปอีก

Parables of Cloth and Bottles (Matt. 9:16-17; Luke 5:36-39)
2:21 No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse.

2:22 และไม่มีผู้ใดเอาน้ำองุ่นใหม่มาใส่ไว้ในถุงหนังเก่า ถ้าทำอย่างนั้นน้ำองุ่นใหม่จะทำให้ถุงเก่านั้นขาดไป น้ำองุ่นนั้นจะไหลออก ถุงหนังก็จะเสียไป แต่น้ำองุ่นใหม่นั้นต้องใส่ไว้ในถุงหนังใหม่”

2:22 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.

พระเยซูเป็นเจ้าเป็นใหญ่เหนือวันสะบาโต (มธ 12:1-8; ลก 6:1-5)
2:23 ต่อมาในวันสะบาโตวันหนึ่งพระองค์กำลังเสด็จไปในนาข้าว และเมื่อพวกสาวกของพระองค์กำลังเดินไปก็เริ่มเด็ดรวงข้าวไป

Jesus, Lord of the Sabbath (Matt. 12:1-8; Luke 6:1-5)
2:23 And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.

2:24 ฝ่ายพวกฟาริสีจึงถามพระองค์ว่า “ดูเถิด ทำไมพวกเขาจึงทำการซึ่งพระราชบัญญัติห้ามไว้ในวันสะบาโต”

2:24 And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?

2:25 พระองค์จึงตรัสกับเขาว่า “พวกท่านยังไม่เคยอ่านหรือซึ่งดาวิดได้กระทำเมื่อท่านขาดอาหารและอดอยาก ทั้งท่านและพรรคพวกด้วย

2:25 And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?

2:26 คือคราวเมื่ออาบียาธาร์เป็นมหาปุโรหิต ท่านได้เข้าไปในพระนิเวศของพระเจ้า และรับประทานขนมปังหน้าพระพักตร์ ซึ่งพระราชบัญญัติห้ามไม่ให้ใครรับประทาน เว้นแต่พวกปุโรหิตเท่านั้น และซ้ำยังส่งให้คนที่มากับท่านรับประทานด้วย”

2:26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?

2:27 พระองค์จึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า “วันสะบาโตนั้นทรงตั้งไว้เพื่อมนุษย์ มิใช่ทรงสร้างมนุษย์ไว้สำหรับวันสะบาโต

2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

2:28 เหตุฉะนั้นบุตรมนุษย์เป็นเจ้าเป็นใหญ่เหนือวันสะบาโตด้วย”

2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
