8:1 จงจรดแตรไว้ที่ปากของเจ้า เขาจะมาเหมือนนกอินทรีต่อสู้พระนิเวศน์ของพระเยโฮวาห์ เพราะพวกเขาได้ละเมิดพันธสัญญาของเรา และได้ละเมิดต่อราชบัญญัติของเรา

The Golden Calf Idols of Jeroboam Bring Judgment
8:1 Set the trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the LORD, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.

8:2 อิสราเอลจะร้องต่อเราว่า “ข้าแต่พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ พวกข้าพระองค์รู้จักพระองค์”

8:2 Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know thee.

8:3 อิสราเอลได้ทอดทิ้งสิ่งที่ดีเสียแล้ว ศัตรูนั้นจะไล่ตามเขา

8:3 Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him.

8:4 พวกเขาได้แต่งตั้งกษัตริย์ทั้งหลายไว้ แต่ไม่ใช่โดยเรา พวกเขาได้ตั้งบรรดาประมุขไว้ และเราไม่ได้รู้เรื่องสิ่งนั้นเลย จากเงินของพวกเขาและทองคำของพวกเขา พวกเขาได้สร้างรูปเคารพทั้งหลายไว้สำหรับตนเอง เพื่อพวกเขาจะถูกตัดขาดออกเสีย

8:4 They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.

8:5 รูปลูกวัวของเจ้า โอ สะมาเรียเอ๋ย ได้ทิ้งเจ้าเสียแล้ว ความโกรธของเราพลุ่งขึ้นต่อพวกเขา อีกนานเท่าใดที่พวกเขาจะบรรลุถึงความบริสุทธิ์ได้

8:5 Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?

8:6 เพราะรูปนั้นได้มาจากอิสราเอลด้วย ช่างได้สร้างมันขึ้น ฉะนั้นรูปนั้นจึงไม่ใช่พระเจ้า แต่รูปลูกวัวแห่งสะมาเรียจะถูกทุบให้เป็นชิ้น ๆ

8:6 For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.

8:7 เพราะว่าพวกเขาได้หว่านลม และพวกเขาจะเกี่ยวลมหมุน มันไม่มีรวง หน่อจะไม่เกิดแป้ง ถ้ามันเกิดแป้ง พวกคนแปลกหน้าจะกลืนกินมันเสีย

8:7 For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.

8:8 อิสราเอลถูกกลืนไปหมดแล้ว บัดนี้พวกเขาจะอยู่ในท่ามกลางพวกคนต่างชาติเหมือนภาชนะลูกหนึ่งซึ่งไม่มีความพึงพอใจอยู่ในนั้น

8:8 Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.

8:9 เพราะพวกเขาได้ขึ้นไปยังอัสซีเรียแล้ว ลาป่าตัวหนึ่งที่อยู่แต่ลำพัง เอฟราอิมได้จ้างบรรดาคนรักมา

8:9 For they are gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.

8:10 ใช่แล้ว ถึงแม้ว่าพวกเขาได้จ้างจากท่ามกลางประชาชาติทั้งหลายมา บัดนี้เราจะรวบรวมพวกเขา และพวกเขาจะเป็นทุกข์เล็กน้อยเรื่องภาระของกษัตริย์องค์นั้นแห่งประมุขทั้งหลาย

8:10 Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes.

8:11 เพราะเหตุเอฟราอิมได้ก่อสร้างแท่นบูชามากมายเพื่อทำบาป แท่นบูชาทั้งหลายจะเป็นแก่เขาเพื่อทำบาป

8:11 Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin.

8:12 เราได้เขียนถึงเขาเรื่องบรรดาสิ่งใหญ่โตแห่งราชบัญญัติของเรา แต่สิ่งเหล่านั้นถูกนับว่าเป็นเหมือนของแปลก

8:12 I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing.

8:13 พวกเขาถวายเนื้อสำหรับเครื่องสัตวบูชาทั้งหลายแก่เรา และรับประทานเนื้อนั้น แต่พระเยโฮวาห์ไม่ทรงยอมรับพวกเขา บัดนี้พระองค์จะทรงระลึกถึงความชั่วช้าของพวกเขา และจะทรงเยี่ยมเยียนบาปทั้งหลายของพวกเขา พวกเขาจะกลับไปยังอียิปต์

8:13 They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it; but the LORD accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.

8:14 เพราะว่าอิสราเอลได้ลืมพระผู้สร้างของเขาเสียแล้ว และสร้างวิหารขึ้นหลายแห่ง และยูดาห์ก็ทวีจำนวนนครที่มีกำแพงขึ้นอีก แต่เราจะส่งไฟมายังนครทั้งหลายของเขา และไฟนั้นจะเผาผลาญปราสาททั้งหลายของนครเหล่านั้นเสีย

8:14 For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.
